Contrary to public opinion Satan is not a Joke.
The absolute greatest vanishing act of our time is the devil disappearing from so many people's world view.
For some reason, Many people, at least 2/3 of Americans, 40% of those claiming to be Christians, and many liberal, so called pastors, do not believe in Satan.
I tend to believe those people have never ran into Devil simply because they are headed in the same direction. That has to be ultimate deception for the father of lies. To convince so many that he simply does not exist.
According to those who have broken free from the stuff of superstitions, the idea of evil personified is for people with exaggerated wild imaginations or ignorance. Maybe, but following the teachings from a man recorded in a book you do not believe is true doesn't exactly scream wisdom, or enlightenment.
There is a major paradox for people who say they follow Jesus who do not believe in Satan
The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, & Luke all record Jesus speaking directly to Satan.
So, is the bible wrong about what Jesus said and did? Then how can we trust anything recorded in it?
If the bible is true and Jesus is dilutional, talking to someone not there, should we follow Him?
The bible teaches us it is the simple things that confound the wise .( 1st Corinthians)
Satan is not some metaphor for evil. He is real.
There are only about 170 passages pertaining to Satan.
Therefore, we don't know much about him.

The bible is vague when it comes to the Devil. I tend to think that that is on purpose. He is not to be focus on. Christ is our focus. The work on the Cross and the victory over the grave with His resurrection promises us the hope of deliverance from the devil's schemes.
But because he is the enemy we need to study the intel our commander in chief has provided in His word.

Jesus said Satan is the Father of lies, a murderer from the beginning. He also said Satan was the ruler of this world.
Our savior, through His word, has given us the tools to resist him. Submission to God.

Satan wanted to elevate himself above the Almighty God and how one day God will bring him down, Then, people are going to be shocked at how much power this insignificant thing had over their life.
